CHRIS GREEN: CHICHESTER TENNIS COACH

Hello, I’m Chris Green, founder of Pure Precision Tennis and an LTA Level 4 accredited coach based at The Lensbury Resort in Teddington.

I’m heavily involved in all aspects of the tennis programme at The Lensbury, with a particular focus on developing a thriving junior programme and helping young players reach their potential.

Previously, I was based at RPDC Bromley Tennis Centre in Kent, where I worked closely with county and national level junior players, helping players achieve success at regional, county and national level in both singles and doubles. Alongside this role, I coached the Sussex Under-16 County Boys from 2019 to 2022, including leading the team at the Surbiton County Tournament in 2019.

I have also held the position of Interim Head Coach at Avenue Lawn Tennis Club in Havant, where I helped produce strong results across both adult and junior teams and raise the club’s overall performance profile.

My coaching experience also extends internationally. I have delivered tennis coaching programmes at leading Neilson resorts in Greece, where I received a Thomas Cook Proud Award for being ‘results orientated’ and maintaining CSQ scores of over 90%.

Throughout my coaching career, I have worked with players across a wide range of ages and abilities, from ITF veterans, ITF juniors and US college players to complete beginners. One of my most memorable coaching experiences was working with ITF and Austrian national junior players at the academy of world renowned tennis coach Günter Bresnik in Vienna, former coach of ATP Top 10 player Dominic Thiem.

My Playing Experience

I believe that my own experience as a competitive player gives me a valuable perspective when coaching players of all levels.

I have achieved a highest WTN of 16.8 in singles and 15.1 in doubles, competing in Grade 3 and British Tour events. I have also won multiple club championships in both singles and doubles.

My aim through Pure Precision Tennis is to combine my experience as a coach and competitive player to provide high quality, individualised coaching that helps every player improve, enjoy their tennis and achieve their goals.
